Applications Possibilities Vertical Substrate Path
What is suitable for?
Qualitative and quantitative effects require a recovery of the fiber’s natural moisture. Therefore, restoring exact moisture on over-dried fabrics after drying has been essential to developing the target properties.
How does it work?
The textile substrate to be prepared receives the application when passing through the spray units (rotor carrier). Through the centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the spray disks, a stream of micro-droplets is formed and sprayed outwards of the spray disc onto the moving fabric. The diameter of the aerosols (micro-droplets) relies on angular velocity, viscosity, density, and surface tension of the respective sprayed liquid – between 20 and 80µ are of crucial importance.
The application quantity adjusts automatically to the machine speed and according to the previous parameters. 100% of the liquid is fed through the throttle (rotor feeding system). The sprayed liquid not absorbed by the textile fibers is fed back to the supply tank via a return filter and is, therefore, not lost but remains in the liquid circuit.
What about process control?
The required chemical application (e.g., g/m² or %) is set on the control unit panel for each processing lot. The entire process is measured and controlled by the Control Unit.
A proprietary dynamic tracking algorithm accurately and automatically determines the flow rate to be applied on the fabric – according to the targeted pickup of the material – along with signals from the integrated tachometer, which the processor controls.
What about occupational safety?
Evenness is, of course, crucial for a good result. It is, however, not the only parameter for a successful system. The spray compartment must be isolated to avoid aerosols. This so-called “overspray” effect is one of the main reasons for failing to comply with occupational exposure limit values of harmful particles.
encapsulated spray chamber
The applicators were specially designed to meet the requirements, valid standards, and legal regulations on workplace concentrations of suspended aerosols in the air. The centrifugation SPRAYTEX® units are encapsulated in a spray box with functional exhaustion of aerosols to avoid overspraying around the workstation environment.
